Event Description

World Endurance Championship – 8 Hours of Bahrain 2025

The FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) 8 Hours of Bahrain 2025, held at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir from November 6-8, 2025, is set to be a thrilling season finale. Originally known as the 6 Hours of Bahrain, the event was extended to an 8-hour format in recent years, intensifying the challenge for drivers and teams. This iconic race, part of the WEC calendar since 2012, showcases the pinnacle of endurance racing with Hypercar and LMGT3 classes competing on the demanding 5.412-km track, featuring 15 turns (7 left, 8 right). The desert circuit’s long straights, technical corners, abrasive surface, and high temperatures test tire management, fuel efficiency, and team strategy, making it a critical battleground for championship titles.

The 2025 event, officially the Bapco Energies 8 Hours of Bahrain, follows a packed schedule: free practice sessions and qualifying on November 6-7, including Hyperpole sessions for both classes, culminating in the race on November 8 from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM local time. The night racing under floodlights adds a spectacular dimension, drawing global fans to witness top manufacturers like Toyota, Ferrari, Porsche, and newcomers like Aston Martin with its Valkyrie Hypercar. The circuit’s state-of-the-art facilities and Bahrain’s vibrant culture, including local cuisine and historic souks, enhance the off-track experience.

With a grid expanded to 40 cars, the 2025 race promises fierce competition, especially after a season featuring new venues like Qatar and Imola. As the 13th WEC race at Bahrain, it remains a decisive finale, often determining championship outcomes. Fans can secure tickets through official partners like WecBahrain.com for an unforgettable blend of high-speed action and Middle Eastern hospitality, cementing Bahrain’s status as a motorsport hub
