24H Series -12 Hours Malaysia 2026

The Michelin 12H Malaysia: A New Dawn for Endurance Racing in Southeast Asia

The Michelin 12H Malaysia stands as a landmark addition to the 24H Series calendar, marking the championship’s inaugural venture into the Far East when it debuts at the iconic Sepang International Circuit in 2026. As the opening round of the 2025/2026 Michelin 24H Series Middle East, this non-stop 12-hour endurance spectacle promises to blend high-octane competition with the tropical allure of Malaysia’s premier racing venue. Sepang, a 5.543-kilometer masterpiece designed by Hermann Tilke and opened in 1999, weaves through undulating hills and palm-fringed landscapes, challenging drivers with its sweeping turns, technical chicanes, and high-speed straights that once hosted Formula 1 grands prix.

Organized by Creventic, the event caters to a diverse field of GT3, GT4, and touring cars, divided into classes that ensure fierce battles across amateur and professional teams. Expect a robust grid, building on the over 20 entries already secured for its predecessor edition, featuring marques like Mercedes-AMG, Porsche, and Ferrari. Local outfit Viper Niza Racing, hailing from Shah Alam, plans to unleash a duo of Mercedes-AMG GT3 machines, underscoring Malaysia’s rising motorsport ambitions. International squads, drawn by the series’ reputation for balanced regulations and tire-focused strategy, will vie for supremacy under the relentless equatorial sun and into the humid night, where headlights pierce the steamy air.

Beyond the track, the 12H Malaysia fosters a festive atmosphere, with Creventic Track Days offering preparatory sessions amid Sepang’s vibrant fan zones. This race not only expands the 24H Series’ global footprint but also revives the spirit of the historic Sepang 12 Hours, once a Merdeka holiday staple. In an era of endurance innovation, it highlights sustainable racing ethos, powered by Michelin’s eco-conscious tires, while celebrating Asia’s burgeoning passion for circuit combat. As drivers push limits over 12 grueling hours, the event cements Sepang’s status as a must-visit jewel in the endurance crown.
