The 24H Series 12 Hours of Mugello 2025, officially branded as the Michelin 12H Mugello, marks the thrilling kickoff to the European endurance racing season, scheduled for March 21-23 at Italy’s picturesque Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello. Nestled in the rolling hills of Tuscany, this Grand Prix-caliber circuit, known for its challenging 5.245-kilometer layout and dramatic elevation changes, sets the stage for an exhilarating 12-hour battle. Organized by CREVENTIC, the event is a cornerstone of the Michelin 24H Series, a globally recognized championship featuring GT3, GT4, touring cars, and bespoke 24H-Specials, all vying for supremacy in a test of speed, strategy, and stamina.
This year’s race, the 11th edition at Mugello, promises fierce competition with over 40 entries anticipated, showcasing a diverse grid of manufacturers like Porsche, Ferrari, Audi, and Aston Martin. The event retains its unique split-race format, with the first segment running on Saturday, March 22, followed by an overnight break, and concluding with a dramatic finale on Sunday, March 23. This structure adds a layer of tactical complexity, as teams must manage tire wear—supplied exclusively by Michelin—and driver rotations amidst unpredictable weather, a frequent wildcard at this early-season venue.
Historically, Mugello has been a launchpad for first-time winners, with teams like AF Corse (2014), Herberth Motorsport (2015), and Team GP Elite (2024) claiming maiden victories. The circuit’s tight corners and sweeping straights reward precision and power, often producing nail-biting finishes—none closer than the 5.417-second margin in 2014, an event record. Beyond the track, the event draws motorsport enthusiasts to its scenic backdrop, offering paddock access and grandstand views. As the 24H Series celebrates a decade of FIA International status in 2025, the Michelin 12H Mugello stands as a testament to endurance racing’s blend of camaraderie, innovation, and unrelenting competition.
