Event Description

Gulf ProCar – Round 5 Dubai 2026: Mid-Season Fireworks at Dubai Autodrome

Deep into the 2025/26 Gulf ProCar Championship, Round 5 erupts at Dubai Autodrome’s 5.39 km Grand Prix Circuit, the series’ spiritual home and a brutal test of man and machine. Alternating with Yas Marina, this event marks the second Dubai visit of the season, where championship contenders sharpen their knives under the relentless UAE sun. The track’s long back straight, high-speed Club Corner, and tight hairpin demand perfect balance between top speed and mechanical sympathy—especially on pump fuel and spec tires that level the playing field.

The full grid—often exceeding 35 cars—features the series’ signature mix of factory-backed pros, gentleman drivers, and club heroes. GT3 machines dominate Class 1 with thunderous V8s and aero packages honed for endurance, while Class 2 prototypes sling turbocharged fury through the esses. Class 3 saloons, from BMW M3s to Porsche 718 Caymans, deliver door-to-door chaos, and the ever-popular Class RC Renault Clios pack the midfield with affordable, identical weaponry.

The weekend follows Gulf ProCar’s proven sprint format: a morning practice to dial in setups, a tense qualifying shootout, and two 25-minute races that reward consistency over heroics. The second race’s reversed grid for the top eight finishers from Race 1 guarantees drama—expect Class 3 leaders starting from the back, clawing through traffic like sharks.

Dubai Autodrome’s facilities elevate the spectacle: shaded grandstands, a vibrant paddock with live engine rebuilds, and a fan zone featuring sim rigs and driver meet-and-greets. Food trucks serve everything from shawarma to gelato, while the on-site karting track keeps younger fans engaged. Live timing and in-car footage stream globally, pulling in viewers from Europe to Asia.

By Round 5, points battles are razor-tight. A single DNF can torpedo a title bid, making tire management and clean racing paramount. Past Dubai rounds have seen last-lap passes decide podiums and rookies upset veterans. As the sun dips behind the grandstands, Round 5 doesn’t just move the championship forward—it defines it.
