Event Description

Gulf ProCar – Round 6 Dubai Autodrome 2026: Desert Heat, Midnight Thunder

Deep into the 2025/26 Gulf ProCar Championship, Round 6 ignites Dubai Autodrome’s 5.39 km Grand Prix Circuit under floodlights, transforming the desert night into a cauldron of speed and strategy. As the penultimate sprint round before the Enduro Cup finale, this event carries championship-defining weight. With points gaps narrowing and rivalries sharpened, every lap is a statement.

The Dubai Autodrome layout—long straights, high-speed esses, and the punishing Turn 1 bowl—demands precision and bravery. Night racing amplifies the challenge: cooler track temperatures (around 18–20°C) boost grip, but visibility narrows to headlights and brake glows. The iconic back straight becomes a 260+ km/h slipstreaming duel, while the tight final sector punishes the slightest error.

Format:

– Morning: 30-minute practice to dial in setups under daylight.

– Afternoon: 20-minute qualifying—pole position often decides Race 1.

– Evening: Two 25-minute sprint races, back-to-back under lights, with partial reverse grids for Race 2 igniting chaos.

All classes converge on one grid:

– Class 1 (GT3): Factory-backed Mercedes, Porsche 992s, and Audi R8s battle for overall glory.

– Class 2 (Proto/GT4): Lightweight turbo prototypes like Ginetta G56s and KTM X-Bows hunt lap records.

– Class 3 (TCR/2.0L Saloons): BMW M240i Cup cars and Honda Civic Type Rs deliver door-to-door combat.

– Class 4 (NA Saloons): Mazda MX-5s and Toyota 86s prove racing purity needs no turbo.

– Class RC (Clio): A 15+ car Clio pack guarantees fender-rubbing entertainment.

Expect 35–40 entries, with guest drivers from Asia and Europe joining UAE regulars. Pit stops are banned in sprints—pure driver skill rules. The paddock buzzes with live music, simulator challenges, and fan meet-and-greets. Free entry and rooftop viewing make it a family magnet.

Round 6 isn’t just a race—it’s survival. One mistake here can unravel a season. As engines howl past midnight, Dubai Autodrome becomes the Gulf’s ultimate proving ground.
