The Trans Am Series National Championship concludes its 2025 season at Circuit of The Americas (COTA) on October 30-November 2, 2025, with the COTA SpeedTour, a thrilling finale in Austin, Texas. The 3.41-mile, 20-turn road course, designed for Formula 1, features challenging elevation changes, high-speed straights, and the iconic Turn 1 climb. As the last of 12 events, this race combines the National and Western Championships, hosting over 70 cars across TA, TA2, XGT, SGT, and GT classes, followed by the year-end awards gala.
TA will see 850+ horsepower beasts like Ford Mustangs and Chevrolet Corvettes battle for supremacy, while TA2 promises fierce competition with drivers like Rafa Matos and Chris Dyson, who have dominated past COTA races. XGT and SGT bring exotic GT machinery, and GT adds nimble sports cars to the grid. The Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) joins the event, blending historic racers with modern muscle, celebrating Trans Am’s legacy since 1966.
COTA’s sprawling 1,500-acre facility offers fans prime viewing from grandstands at Turn 1 and Turn 15, with the Austin skyline as a stunning backdrop. The late October weather, typically in the low 80s with clear skies, creates a vibrant atmosphere, complemented by the surrounding Texas Hill Country. The paddock provides open access for fans to meet drivers, while the Fan Walk and autograph sessions add to the excitement. Off-track, Austin’s live music and food scene enhances the weekend experience.
The TA2 race, a 30-lap, 75-minute sprint, is set for Saturday at 1:00 p.m. CT, followed by the TA/XGT/SGT/GT feature on Sunday. Gates open at 8:00 a.m. daily, with weekend passes starting at $60, and kids 12 and under free. Live streaming on the Trans Am YouTube channel ensures global access to the championship-deciding action at this world-class venue.
