The Trans Am Series National Championship heads to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP), also known as Mosport, on August 29-31, 2025, for the Labour Day Sprints, a late-season highlight. Located in Bowmanville, Ontario, just 75 kilometers east of Toronto, the 2.459-mile, 10-turn road course is a driver favorite, known for its high-speed Mario Andretti Straightaway and the tricky Moss Corner. This event, following Watkins Glen and preceding VIR, marks Trans Am’s return to Canada after a decade, having last raced here in 2014.
All five classes—TA, TA2, XGT, SGT, and GT—will compete, with over 50 cars expected. TA features 850+ horsepower machines like Ford Mustangs and Dodge Challengers, while TA2 showcases tight racing with production-based cars. XGT and SGT bring exotic GT machinery, and GT adds nimble sports cars. For the first time since 2014, TA/XGT/SGT/GT and TA2 will race together at CTMP, promising a packed grid. The event also features the NASCAR Canada Series, adding to the weekend’s excitement.
CTMP’s 900 acres offer a scenic backdrop, with fans enjoying views of Lake Ontario from the track’s natural amphitheater. The late summer weather, typically in the high 70s, sets a vibrant tone, complemented by an autograph session on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. ET. The paddock provides close access to teams, while the Event Centre hosts hospitality. Races will stream live on the Trans Am YouTube channel, bringing the action to a global audience.
Co-owner Ron Fellows, a Trans Am veteran who won here in 2014, adds a local connection to the event. With a history of hosting Formula One and Can-Am, Mosport delivers a challenging stage for drivers vying for points as the season nears its true finale at COTA in late October.
