The 6 Hours of Imola, scheduled for April 18-20, 2025, at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari, is poised to be a thrilling second round of the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). This iconic 4.909 km circuit in Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region, with its 19 demanding turns like Tamburello and Rivazza, will host 36 cars—18 each in Hypercar and LMGT3 classes—promising intense multi-class racing. The event, secured on the WEC calendar until 2028, follows the Qatar 1812 km and sets the stage for a tactical battle under Imola’s historic atmosphere.
Fourteen manufacturers, including Ferrari, Porsche, Toyota, BMW, and newcomers Aston Martin with the Valkyrie and Mercedes-AMG in LMGT3, will compete, showcasing cutting-edge technology and star drivers like Antonio Giovinazzi, Valentino Rossi, and Mick Schumacher. Italian teams like Ferrari AF Corse and Iron Lynx, now fielding Mercedes-AMG GT3s, will chase home glory. The Hypercar class features upgraded machines like Peugeot’s 9X8, while LMGT3 includes fierce contenders like Manthey’s Porsche 911 GT3 R and the Iron Dames’ Aston Martin.
The weekend begins with Free Practice 1 and 2 on Friday, followed by Free Practice 3 and qualifying on Saturday, culminating in the 12-minute qualifying and 10-minute Hyperpole sessions to set the grid. Sunday’s 6-hour race, starting at 1:00 PM local time, will test strategy with fuel and tire management, amplified by Imola’s technical layout. Fans can watch live on FIAWEC.TV or Max, with Free Practice 3 streamed on YouTube. Paddock access and pit lane walks enhance the spectator experience, while Imola’s fan zones and local cuisine add to the vibrant motorsport weekend, drawing enthusiasts to this storied circuit.
