The Winter Series at Estoril 2026: Two Days of Coastal Fury
Under shifting Atlantic clouds at Portugal’s Circuito do Estoril, the 2026 GEDLICH Racing Winter Series will unleash its second round across two pulse-racing days on the historic 4.2-kilometer layout, where high-speed straights funnel into a nerve-jangling final chicane. More than a hundred GTs, prototypes, and single-seighters will duel with coastal winds, tire strategy, and raw ambition.
Day one will open with free practice sessions, teams adapting to track conditions and fine-tuning setups. GT Winter Series machines—snarling Porsche 911 GT3 Rs, howling Ferrari 296 GTBs, and Lamborghini Huracáns—will blast through the sweeping parabolic curve, British star Alex Riberas pushing his Porsche to the early benchmark. Qualifying will erupt into a twenty-minute knife-fight; Razoon More Than Racing’s Porsche will chase Pro-class pole on a rapidly evolving track while McLaren’s Artline squad fights for GT4 front-row supremacy amid frantic late-sector lunges. Afternoon will spotlight Prototype Winter Series newcomers—compact LMP-style machines debuting this season—carving the curbs with surgical precision. As dusk falls, Formula Winter Series teenagers will howl in Tatuus F4 formation, seventeen-year-old Sofia Mendes hunting the top spot with fearless braking into Turn 6. No checkered flags will drop; the paddock will thrum with tension as mechanics work under floodlights, preparing for whatever the next day brings.
Day two will dawn with a packed schedule detonating into back-to-back sprints and endurance warfare. GT Race 1 will explode from a standing start, pole-sitters dueling into Turn 1 as safety cars and strategy calls reshape the order. GT4 will see Artline’s McLaren defend against charging Aston Martins. The two-hour Prototype enduro will hinge on undercut stops and fuel mileage chess, while Formula’s finale will test teenage nerves through tire management and bold overtakes. Mendes will aim to convert her speed into victory, ready to leap onto her roll-hoop if the crowd erupts.
Estoril 2026 will fuse high-stakes racing, tactical brilliance, and emerging talent into Winter Series legend.
